Medical News announces 2012 MediStar Award nominees

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 27, 2012) More than 40 organizations and 80 individual nominees are represented in this year’s MediStar Awards nominees. Leading the way is University of Louisville/University of Louisville Health Care with a solid 14 nominations. First time nominees International Center for Long Term Care Innovation and Kentucky Health Information Exchange join the list of well-recognized organizations.

Since 2007 Medical News has recognized excellence in the business of healthcare at the exclusive MediStar Awards, which honors healthcare professionals for their achievements in advocacy, innovation, education, leadership, design, humanity and meeting consumer needs, as well as announces the coveted Physician of the Year award.

This year’s MediStar Awards will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Medical News as well as feature networking with more than 500 healthcare professionals and executives, a cocktail reception, and the presentation of eight awards to the “best of the best” in our region.

Winners will be announced at the MediStar Awards on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville. Below is a complete list of nominees.
